Amanda Smith Caterers has expanded our services to lower Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Amanda Smith Caterers hosted a cocktail party at Banchet Flowers in Greenwich where guests sipped on Tamarind Margaritas while nibbling Lavender Crusted Tuna on Asian Pear and Black Grapes with Pistachios and Goat Cheese. The cocktail hour was followed by a short stroll up to a space on Greenwich Avenue where a tasting of Ceviches, Dumplings and Wild Mushroom Risotto awaited. The Mango Mousse with Blueberry Compote and Mignonettes completed the evening.
In October, we catered a gala event for Room to Read, an organization that helps communities all over the world to establish libraries where children can learn. One hundred seventy five guests dined under a majestic tent, beautifully decorated by SBLong Interiors. We prepared a South Asian menu, including Peking Duck Buns, Five Mushroom Dumplings and Vegetable Summer Rolls during the cocktail hour accompanied by our Lychee Lime Infusion and for dinner Chicken Seung in Lettuce followed by Shrimp Red Curry with Pineapple Cashew Rice. The dessert was a cake that looked like a stack of books designed by B cakes. The photographers from Fairfield County Look were generous enough to share these images.
2012 is already proving to be exciting with cocktail parties, cooking classes and weddings in the works. We look forward to working in Connecticut and promise to bring a personal approach, creative menus, seasonal food, and exceptional service to your events.
